Purpose
The Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. It raises, manages, and distributes charitable funds for community service projects, scholarships, and other charitable and educational initiatives in Greenville and the surrounding area, consistent with Rotary's charitable areas of focus.
The Foundation is new. It was incorporated on July 1, 2026 and is building the capacity to make grants. It does not yet have a history of funding to report.
How the Foundation is governed
The Foundation is governed by volunteer directors and officers and has no paid staff. All disbursements are subject to Foundation Board oversight. No part of its earnings may benefit any private individual, and it does not engage in political campaign activity or lobbying.
The clubs do the work
Service in Greenville is carried out by the local Rotary clubs. Three clubs serve the area, and each one plans, runs, and is responsible for its own projects, events, and fundraisers. The Foundation does not organize those events and does not claim credit or responsibility for them.
